MAJ Kyle Ross was born and raised in Lakewood, Ohio. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2009 and was commissioned into the Field Artillery. MAJ Ross' assignments include Company Fire Support Officer, C Co, 1-67 Armor, Platoon Leader/Executive Officer, A Battery, 3-16 Field Artillery, Commander, HHB, 2-5 Field Artillery, Commander, HHB 214th Fires Brigade, Chief of Inspections, Fires Center of Excellence, Observer Coach/Trainer, 1st Brigade, Great Lakes Training Division, Executive Officer, 1-329th Regiment, and is currently an Assistant Professor of Military Science at The Ohio State University Army ROTC.

Military Education: MAJ Ross is a graduate of the Field Artillery Basic Officer Leadership Course, the Field Artillery Captain's Career Course, Command and General Staff College (Common Core), The Inspector General Course, Common Faculty Development Instructor Course, and Joint Fires Observer Course.

Civilian Education: MAJ Ross has a Masters in Business Administration from Indiana University.

Awards and Decorations: Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (w/ 1OLC), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (w/1 OLC), Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (w/ 1OLC), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (w/2 Campaign Stars), Valorous Unit Award, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and the  NATO/ISAF Medal. He is also a recipient of the Order of Saint Barbara.

Personal: MAJ Ross lives in Upper Arlington with his children.
