Brian Conway

MAJ Conway

MAJ Brian Conway was born and raised in Bedford, Ohio. MAJ Conway enlisted in the Ohio Army National Guard in 2003, while enlisted he graduated from the University of Akron in May 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. MAJ Conway attended the Officer Commissioning School (OCS) and was appointed as 2nd LT in January 2010. 

MAJ Conway’s assignments include Company Fire Support Officer with C Co, 1-148th Infantry Regiment, Fires Team Chief with HHC, 1-145th Armored Battalion, Scout Platoon Leader, HHC, 1-145th Armored Battalion, Executive Office, A CO, 1-145th, Operations Officer, 237th Brigade Support Battalion, Commander, B Co, 237th Brigade Support Battalion, Brigade Logistics Office,37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Battalion Operations Officer, 1-134th Field Artillery Regiment, and currently serves as Executive Officer and Assistant Professor of Military Science at The Ohio State University Army ROTC. 

Maj Conway deployed to Kuwait and Iraq in 2004 and 2005, with 1st Battalion, 107th Cavalry Regiment, and to Afghanistan in 2012 with Charlie Company, 1-148th Infantry Regiment.

Military Education:  MAJ Conway is a graduate of the Field Artillery Basic Officer Leadership Course, Army Reconnaissance Course, Maneuver Captains Career Course, Field Artillery Captains Career Course, Air Defense Artillery Transition Course, Ordnance Branch Transition Course, Support Operations Course, Digital Master Gunners Course, and Common Faculty Development Instructor Course.

Civilian Education: MAJ Conway has his Executive Masters in Business Administration from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.

Awards and Decorations:  Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (w/ 1 OLC), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal National(w/ 2 OLC), Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal , Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal (w/ 1 Campaign Star), Afghanistan Campaign Medal, NATO/ISAF Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, NATO Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, (w/ 1 OLC), Overseas Service Ribbon (w/ Numeral 4), Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Ribbon (w/ Numeral 2), Armed Forces Reserve Medal( w/ M device and Numeral 2), Combat Action Badge. He is also a recipient of the Order of Saint Barbra Award.

Personal: MAJ Conway is married to Mrs. Erica Conway. They have two children, son, Declan and daughter, Delaney.
