MAJ Kevin Obermeyer was born and raised in West Chester, Ohio. MAJ Obermeyer commissioned in the Ohio Army National Guard in 2010 after graduation from The Ohio State University’s ROTC program.
MAJ Obermeyer’s assignments include Platoon Leader with C CO, 1-148th Infantry Regiment, Executive Officer with A CO, 1-148th Infantry Regiment, Mortar Platoon Leader with HHC 1-148th Infantry Regiment, Commander with B CO 1-148th Infantry Regiment, Assistant Operations Officer with 837th Brigade Engineer Battalion, Logistics Officer with HHC 1-145th Armored Regiment, Operations Officer with HHC 1-145th Armored Regiment, Executive Officer with 1-137th Aviation Regiment and currently serves as Executive Officer and Assistant Professor of Military Science at The Ohio State University Army ROTC.
MAJ Obermeyer deployed to Afghanistan in 2012 with C CO, 1-148th Infantry Regiment and to Jordan in 2017 with B CO, 1-148th Infantry Regiment.
Military Education: MAJ Obermeyer is a graduate of the Infantry Basic Officer Leadership Course, Maneuver Captains Career Course and Command and General Staff College Intermediate Level Education Common Core.
Civilian Education: MAJ Obermeyer has his Executive Masters in Business Administration from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business and a Bachelor's of Science in Radiologic Sciences and Therapy from The Ohio State University School of Health and Rehabilitation Services.

Personal: MAJ Obermeyer is married to Mrs. Maura Obermeyer. They have three children, daughter, Maeve, son, Beckham and son, Tripp.
